The best new Skyrim mods released between October 19 and 25, 2026 lean heavily toward save tools and engine fixes. ReSaver Plus and Faster Objects led the week on Nexus Mods, and a story-heavy follower mod for Agna was the standout content release. Below are the 12 most endorsed new Skyrim Special Edition uploads, with authors, requirements and what each one is good for.

Before you install
Several picks this week touch saves, quests or the renderer. Back up your save folder and your profile before adding them to a running playthrough.
ReSaver Plus
This was the most endorsed new mod of the week, and it’s easy to see why. tonycubed2 has ported ReSaver, the save cleaner from Fallrim Tools, to C++.
You get everything the original does, only faster and without installing Java. Anyone who has fought with Java versions just to clean a bloated save will appreciate that alone.
The new features are the real draw:
- A Mods view showing what each mod has left in your save
- Safe mod removal from a save
- A one-click fix for a broken SkyUI MCM
- Reports and a script viewer
The SkyUI MCM fix targets one of the most common Skyrim headaches. Menus vanish after a mod update, and the usual cure is console commands or a fresh save.
Modder's note
“Safe removal” still means removing a mod from a save you’ve already backed up. Clean a copy, load it, and play for a while before you delete the original.
Faster Objects
Asciim0v brings a Fallout 4 idea to Skyrim. Precombines merge static objects into combined meshes, which cuts the number of draw calls your GPU has to process.
The mod also skips draw calls for objects you can’t see. Dense cities and cluttered interiors are where draw calls usually hurt most, so that’s where you should test it.
At 9,140 downloads, it nearly matched ReSaver Plus. Performance mods spread fast. Run it in a heavily modded area and compare frame rates before and after, since your gains depend on your load order.
Needs Widget AIO
If you run a survival setup, you probably juggle widgets from three different mods. mxdie’s Needs Widget AIO puts your needs on the HUD as icons, whichever needs mod supplies them.
The supported list is long. It includes Survival Mode, SunHelm, Last Seed, iNeed, Frostfall, Realistic Needs and Diseases, Stress and Fear, Dirt and Blood, and Wounds. It also shows light level.
You need at least one supported needs mod for it to do anything useful. Check the page for the exact list and any framework requirements.
Dino’s Easy Quest Fix
FlightDino’s mod lets you advance a stuck quest to its next stage from an MCM. No console, no hunting for quest IDs and stage numbers.
That makes it handy on long playthroughs, where one broken trigger can lock a whole questline. MCM menus run through SkyUI, so confirm what the page lists as required.
Before you install
Skipping a stage can skip the scripts that stage was meant to run. Save before you push a quest forward so you can roll back if it breaks something downstream.
Whiterun Basement Tiling Fix – Jorrvaskr – Dragonsreach – Honningbrew Meadery
wSkeever fixes floors that don’t tile properly in four Whiterun interiors: Jorrvaskr Basement, Dragonsreach Basement, Honningbrew Meadery Basement and the Guard Barracks.
It’s a small fix. You’ll notice it every time you walk down to the Companions’ quarters, though. If you use an interior overhaul for any of these cells, check the page for compatibility notes first.
No More Sliding Paws – Creature Idle Animation Fixes
Vanilla creature idles have a habit of letting feet slide or tremble on the ground. Exalderan’s fix keeps dogs, sabre cats and other creatures planted while their bodies still move.
It covers 11 idle animations. There’s no ESP and no scripts, so it costs you no plugin slot and is low risk to add mid-game.
If you already run a creature animation replacer, your mod manager’s file priority decides which version wins. In Mod Organizer 2 that’s the left pane order. Put this fix below the replacer if you want it to win.
Skyrim Delirium – GTA IV-style physical hit reactions
Zorkanne33 turns limp ragdolls into “living” ones powered by Delirium. NPCs stumble and fight to stay upright. They writhe when burning, convulse from shock spells and curl up mid-air.
Every hit, destruction spell effect, shout and death gets a physical reaction. The GTA IV comparison will make sense to anyone who remembers how NPCs reeled in that game.
You need Delirium installed, since the summary names it as the engine behind the effect. Physics-heavy combat mods can overlap with other ragdoll or hit-reaction mods, so avoid running two systems that handle the same job.
Decal Seam Fix (SKSE)
Neutrall9’s SKSE plugin fixes ground decals that get chopped off with a hard straight edge. That includes scorch marks, frost, blood and other spell and impact marks.
You’ve likely seen this bug after a fire fight on uneven terrain. Now the marks follow the ground instead.
SKSE plugins are tied to your game version. Make sure the file you download matches your runtime, since SE and AE builds differ.
Skyking Farmhouses Complex Parallax and PBR
Skyking2020’s texture overhaul covers farmhouses across all towns and villages. You can pick brown or grey, in 1k, 2k or 4k.
PBR and Complex Parallax textures are included. Both rely on your shader setup, so read the page to see which setups it supports before you choose a file.
If you’re tight on VRAM, start with 2k. Farmhouses fill a lot of screen space in places like Riverwood, and 4k across every village adds up fast.
Know Your Skyrim – The In-Game Compendium
LayMovi’s compendium indexes your load order and tells you about every item, person, creature and quest. It shows where to find an item, who sells it, who carries it and what it’s made from.
The pitch is cheeky (“Big Brother is watching your load order”), but the use case is serious. Large modlists add hundreds of items you’ll never find without alt-tabbing to a wiki. This keeps that lookup inside the game.
Vines Improved
Janissrim’s mod replaces vanilla vines with higher poly models, new collisions and updated UV maps.
The UV change matters. Textures made for the old UVs may not line up correctly. If you already run a vine retexture, check the page for which ones are compatible.
Hillgrund Survivor – Save Agna
This is the week’s best content release. In vanilla, Agna dies in Hillgrund’s Tomb. ImmortaIus lets the Dragonborn arrive first and save her.
Once rescued, Agna takes over the quest and then joins you on the road. She’s a sharp-tongued Nord follower with more than 300 voiced lines and a slow-burn relationship arc.
Voiced follower mods with that many lines usually have their own quest scripting. Add it before you reach Hillgrund’s Tomb, not after.
How to read this week’s list
Two of the top three mods fix problems instead of adding content. That’s typical for a week dominated by utilities. Downloads spread quickly for tools that solve problems people already have.
If you’re building a list from scratch, a sensible install order looks like this:
- Stability and save tools: ReSaver Plus and Dino’s Easy Quest Fix
- Engine and visual fixes: Faster Objects, Decal Seam Fix and No More Sliding Paws
- Textures and meshes: Skyking Farmhouses and Vines Improved
- Content and gameplay: Hillgrund Survivor, Skyrim Delirium and Needs Widget AIO
Our earlier roundup of Skyrim mods this week covered October 14 to 20, and a few of those pair well with this batch.

ReSaver Plus states it supports both SE and AE saves. For SKSE plugins like Decal Seam Fix, download the file that matches your exact game version.

Start with ReSaver Plus. It helps you inspect and back up the state of your save before you add anything else.
Is it safe to add these to an existing save?
No More Sliding Paws is the safest pick, with no ESP or scripts. For anything that adds quests, scripts or followers, back up your save first and test before you commit.
