Best new Fallout New Vegas mods this week (October 19 to 25, 2026)

Fallout: New Vegas screenshot

The week of October 19 to 25, 2026 belonged to weapon and gear makers. UnitedWestTeam placed two Van Buren-inspired releases near the top of the Nexus Mods charts, and four separate texture projects reworked parts of the Mojave and its DLC that have looked dated since 2010. Below are the 12 most endorsed new Fallout: New Vegas mods of the week, ranked, with requirements, author credits and install notes.

Last checked: October 30, 2026. Endorsement and download counts were pulled from Nexus Mods on October 26, 2026, and have grown since.

What the week brought

Twelve new uploads drew enough endorsements to make this list. Together they collected 292 endorsements and 5,673 downloads by the morning of October 26. That is a healthy week for a game that turned 16 this month. The modding scene for New Vegas keeps finding new things to fix.

Three patterns stand out this week:

  • ESP-less releases keep spreading. Two of the top six mods put “espless” in their names. They change the game without adding a plugin to your load order, which matters on a setup that already runs a few hundred mods.
  • The DLC is getting texture attention. OrgasmicSneeze released geology overhauls for both Dead Money and Old World Blues in the same week. Both include new LOD.
  • Tale of Two Wastelands support is now expected. Three of the 12 mention TTW by name, and one is built only for TTW 3.4.

A note on what is missing: no big quest mods or companion mods landed this week. The list is mostly assets, gear and gameplay tweaks. If you are looking for story content, the classics table further down covers what still holds up.

How we picked and ranked these mods

This is a trending roundup, so the rules are mechanical. We do not slip in older favourites.

  1. New this week. The mod had to be released on Nexus Mods between October 19 and 25, 2026. Updates to older mods do not count.
  2. Ranked by endorsements. Endorsements are a deliberate action, so they say more about quality than raw downloads do. Ties go to the mod with more downloads.
  3. Counts frozen on the pull date. Every number here was measured on October 26, 2026. A mod uploaded on the 25th had one day to collect them, while one from the 19th had a full week. Keep that in mind when you compare.
  4. Safe-for-work and fair play only. We exclude adult mods, cheat tools and gambling-focused content. Nothing from this week’s top set needed to be removed.

We also look at endorsement rate (endorsements divided by downloads). It is a rough signal of how many people liked a mod enough to come back and click the button. A small mod with a high rate is often a better bet than a big one with a low rate.

The numbers behind the ranking

Rank Mod Endorsements Downloads Endorsement rate
1 Fallout – The New West – Wattz Weapon Pack 57 894 6.4%
2 Revolvers (ESPLESS) 48 1,280 3.8%
3 Fallout – The New West – Lil Pip 3000 44 681 6.5%
4 Point Lookout Shack Replacer 27 247 10.9%
5 Vault Interior Doors HD Collection 22 347 6.3%
6 ADS Inertia espless 20 478 4.2%
7 Wasteland Forts (Base Building Overhaul) 17 470 3.6%
8 Dart Boards Of The Mojave 14 502 2.8%
9 Sierra Madre Geology 14 207 6.8%
10 Classic Booze of The Mojave – B42 Inject 10 172 5.8%
11 Big MT Geology 10 185 5.4%
12 Twin Hideouts TTW 9 210 4.3%

Revolvers (ESPLESS) was the most downloaded mod of the week by a wide margin, at 1,280. The Point Lookout Shack Replacer had the best endorsement rate, with more than one in ten downloaders endorsing it. Dart Boards Of The Mojave pulled more downloads than six mods ranked above or near it, but it had the lowest rate. Novelty gets people to click. Polish gets them to endorse.

Breakdown by category

Nexus category Mods Endorsements Downloads
Weapons 2 105 2,174
Models and Textures 4 73 986
Gameplay Effects and Changes 3 51 1,450
Armour 1 44 681
Items – Food/Drinks/Chems/etc 1 10 172
Player Homes 1 9 210

Weapons won the week with just two mods, accounting for more than a third of all endorsements and downloads. Models and Textures had the most entries, but each one targets a narrow slice of the game, so the audiences are smaller.

Top pick of the week

ModWattz Weapon Pack
AuthorUnitedWestTeam
CategoryWeapons
Endorsements57 on Oct 26

The Wattz Weapon Pack is our top pick. It led on endorsements and held a strong 6.4% endorsement rate. It also comes from a team with a clear art direction rooted in Fallout’s own cancelled history. If you install one mod from this list, install this one. If you want something that will not touch your load order at all, Revolvers (ESPLESS) is the runner-up.

1. Fallout – The New West – Wattz Weapon Pack

The Nexus summary is just a tagline, “If it’s worth protecting, it’s worth WATTZ!”, but the name tells you most of what you need. Wattz Electronics is one of the oldest manufacturer names in the series. It goes back to the Wattz 1000 laser pistol and Wattz 2000 laser rifle from the original Fallout games. New Vegas only nods to that era, so a dedicated Wattz pack fills a real gap in the game’s energy weapon lineup.

Why it is worth a look: UnitedWestTeam works on The New West, a project drawing on Van Buren, the Fallout 3 that Black Isle cancelled before Bethesda bought the license. Releasing pieces of it as standalone mods means you get the project’s art and design work now, inside your normal New Vegas playthrough. The team put two mods in the top three this week, which says the community trusts their asset quality.

What we cannot confirm from the summary: the exact weapon list, how the guns are distributed (vendor, leveled lists or placed in the world) and whether they come with ammo changes. Read the description and files tab before you install. If you run a weapon rebalance like a loot or damage overhaul, check how the pack sets its stats.

Requirements: none listed in the summary. Check the Requirements section on the Nexus page.

Author: UnitedWestTeam.

Modder's note

New weapon packs often put their guns into leveled lists or vendor inventories. If a gun never shows up, check FNVEdit to see whether a later plugin is overwriting the same list, and use a merged or bashed patch to combine them.

2. Revolvers (ESPLESS)

Postman6’s mod is a set of high-quality model replacers for New Vegas revolvers and their variants. The summary flags support for both TTW and B42. “ESPLESS” means it ships without a plugin file, so it replaces meshes and textures and does not touch your plugin list.

Why it is worth a look: Revolvers are some of the most used guns in New Vegas. The Police Pistol, Ranger Sequoia and .357 Magnum Revolver all carry you through different stages of the game. Vanilla revolver models are low-poly and their animations show their age, so a clean replacer improves something you look at for hours. It was also the most downloaded new mod of the week, at 1,280 downloads.

Requirements and compatibility:

  • The summary says it supports Tale of Two Wastelands and B42. “B42” refers to the B42 family of New Vegas framework mods, and B42 Inject is the one used by this week’s Classic Booze mod. The summary does not say which B42 component Postman6 supports, so read the description.
  • Model replacers can conflict with other weapon mesh mods, and that includes anything that swaps the same revolver models. Pick one, or let the one you prefer win in your left pane in Mod Organizer 2.
  • If you use Weapon Mods Expanded (WMX), check whether the replacer covers the WMX attachment variants. The summary mentions variants but does not name WMX.

Author: Postman6.

3. Fallout – The New West – Lil Pip 3000

UnitedWestTeam’s other release, uploaded on October 23, 2026, the same day as the Wattz Weapon Pack, is a Lil Pip 3000 that replaces the player’s Pip-Boy and is listed under Armour on Nexus Mods. According to the summary, it is “a common piece of kit for Odysseus’s Prisoners, somewhere deep beneath the ground in the Four Corners.” The team recreated it from the Van Buren design documents and released it for the Mojave. And, as the author proudly notes, it has a lid.

Why it is worth a look: The Pip-Boy 3000 is the series’ visual identity, and New Vegas has used the same wrist unit since Fallout 3. A Van Buren-sourced alternative is a rare piece of lore. It brings a cancelled game’s design into a playable one. At 44 endorsements and a 6.5% rate, it did nearly as well as the weapon pack while sitting in the smaller Armour category.

What we cannot confirm from the summary: whether it replaces your Pip-Boy model and interface globally, or whether it is an equippable item that sits alongside the vanilla Pip-Boy. Pip-Boy replacers in New Vegas can clash with mods that change the Pip-Boy mesh, screen or first-person arms, so read the page before you combine it with any of those.

Requirements: none listed in the summary.

Author: UnitedWestTeam.

4. Point Lookout Shack Replacer

616Lazarus took on a small but irritating piece of reused art. A shack model Bethesda originally made for Fallout 3’s Point Lookout DLC shows up in New Vegas, where its swampy look does not fit the Mojave. This mod replaces it with something closer to the Mojave’s dry, sunbaked style.

Why it is worth a look: This is the kind of mod nobody knew they wanted until somebody pointed it out. It also had the best endorsement rate of the week, at 10.9% (27 endorsements from 247 downloads). That is a strong sign that people who try it keep it. It is a low-risk install that makes the world feel more coherent.

Requirements and compatibility: none listed in the summary. As a model replacer, it should only conflict with other mods that change the same shack mesh. If you run a large texture or architecture overhaul, check whether it already touches this model and decide which one wins in your mod manager.

Author: 616Lazarus.

5. Vault Interior Doors HD Collection

XPE4D built new meshes and physically based textures from scratch for the interior doors in New Vegas Vaults. The summary lists 4K and 2K texture options and TTW compatibility. It also recommends New Vegas Reloaded.

Why it is worth a look: Vault doors are everywhere once you start exploring Vaults 3, 11, 19, 21, 22 and 34. The vanilla versions are blurry up close. Because these are physically based textures, they react to light properly when paired with a renderer that supports that. That is why the author recommends New Vegas Reloaded, a graphics extender that adds modern lighting and effects to the old engine.

Requirements and compatibility:

Item What the summary says
Tale of Two Wastelands Compatible
New Vegas Reloaded Recommended, not stated as required
Texture sizes 4K and 2K

Which size to pick: go with 2K unless you have a lot of VRAM headroom and already run high-resolution textures elsewhere. New Vegas is a 32-bit game. Even with the 4GB patch, stacking many 4K textures is a common cause of stutter and crashes on long sessions.

Author: XPE4D.

6. ADS Inertia espless

surge0907’s mod adds inertia to first-person aiming. When you turn while aiming down sights, the front sight can drift out of line with the rear sight. Then it gradually settles back into alignment when you stop moving.

Why it is worth a look: Vanilla New Vegas iron sights are glued to the centre of the screen, which makes aiming feel weightless. Inertia like this is standard in modern shooters, and it makes snap-turning and firing less accurate in a believable way. It rewards you for settling your aim instead of flicking. Like Revolvers, it is ESP-less, so it costs you no plugin slot.

Things to weigh before installing:

  • It changes how aiming feels, so it will clash in spirit (and possibly in code) with other mods that alter first-person weapon sway, camera behaviour or aim animations. Test one aiming mod at a time.
  • The summary does not name requirements. ESP-less gameplay changes in New Vegas usually depend on script extender plugins, so check the Requirements section on the Nexus page and make sure your xNVSE setup is current.

Author: surge0907.

Before you install

Gameplay mods that run scripts can behave differently on an existing save. Back up your save before you add ADS Inertia espless or Wasteland Forts mid-playthrough.

7. Wasteland Forts (Base Building Overhaul)

Becibis merged two older base-building mods, Real-Time-Settler and Wasteland Defense, using FNVEdit. The summary says they have been integrated together with “many MANY bug fixes,” and Becibis calls it a foundation for an ultimate base-building mod. It also offers lots of configuration options.

Why it is worth a look: Real Time Settler has long been the go-to way to build structures in New Vegas, a game that shipped with no settlement system. Merging it with a defence mod and fixing bugs along the way gives you one maintained package instead of two older ones that were never designed to work together. If you liked building in Fallout 4 but want to stay in the Mojave, this is the mod to try.

Requirements and compatibility:

  • The summary does not list requirements. Base-building mods of this size usually rely on script extender plugins, so read the page before you install.
  • Because it is a merge of Real-Time-Settler and Wasteland Defense, do not run the original mods alongside it unless the author says you can. Two copies of the same scripts and records is a reliable way to break both.
  • It is a gameplay overhaul built on a heavily scripted older mod. Start a fresh save or make a clean backup first.

Author: Becibis, building on the original Real-Time-Settler and Wasteland Defense mods.

8. Dart Boards Of The Mojave

Luke2172’s mod adds a fully functioning darts mini-game to New Vegas. The summary is short and does not say where the boards are placed or how scoring works.

Why it is worth a look: New Vegas has Caravan and not much else in the way of side activities. A playable darts game fits the bar-heavy world, with its saloons, dive bars and settlement cantinas. It is also one of the few mods this week aimed at downtime instead of combat or visuals. At 502 downloads it was the third most downloaded mod of the week, ahead of several higher-ranked entries.

Things to know: its 2.8% endorsement rate was the lowest on the list. That does not mean it is broken. Mini-games tend to get tried once and forgotten, and endorsements follow. Read the comments tab for any reports of placement conflicts with location overhauls before you add it to a heavily modded game.

Requirements: none listed in the summary.

Author: Luke2172.

9. Sierra Madre Geology

OrgasmicSneeze delivered a full mesh and texture overhaul for the rocks in Dead Money, with new LOD models and textures included.

Why it is worth a look: Dead Money’s red fog hides a lot, but the rocks around the Villa and the approach to the Sierra Madre still show low-resolution textures and blocky shapes. New LOD matters here. LOD models are the low-detail versions you see at a distance. Mods that change rock meshes without updating LOD leave you with mismatched distant terrain, and this one avoids that problem. Its 6.8% endorsement rate beat both New West releases.

Compatibility: expect conflicts with other mods that replace Dead Money rock meshes or with general landscape and rock overhauls that cover the DLC. Decide which one wins in your mod manager. If you generate your own LOD with a tool, rerun it after installing.

Requirements: none listed in the summary.

Author: OrgasmicSneeze.

10. Classic Booze of The Mojave – B42 Inject

ChadNobarkMods adds alcoholic drinks from the original Fallout games to New Vegas. This version uses B42 Inject, which lets the mod add items to the game through the framework rather than through a traditional plugin.

Why it is worth a look: New Vegas already leans on its Fallout 1 and 2 roots more than any other Bethesda-era game. Bringing back classic drinks extends that, and it gives survival and roleplay players more variety in what they carry and sell. The B42 Inject approach also keeps it light on your load order.

Requirements:

  • B42 Inject, as the title says. Install it and its own requirements first. Framework mods like it generally run on top of xNVSE, so make sure your script extender is up to date.
  • The summary does not list which drinks are included or how they are distributed. Check the description if you run an economy or loot overhaul.

Author: ChadNobarkMods.

11. Big MT Geology

This is OrgasmicSneeze’s second release of the week. It is a complete mesh and texture overhaul of Old World Blues rocks and cliffs, plus the hex towers, with new LOD models and textures included.

Why it is worth a look: Big MT is one of the most visually distinctive spaces in New Vegas. It is a crater full of mad-science domes and strange rock formations, and the vanilla cliffs look stretched and smeared at close range. The hex towers are a signature landmark, so giving them proper attention is a smart choice. Pair this with Sierra Madre Geology and two of the four story DLCs get a consistent rock style from the same author.

Compatibility: the same advice as Sierra Madre Geology applies. Do not stack it with another Old World Blues rock or cliff replacer, and regenerate LOD if you build your own.

Requirements: none listed in the summary.

Author: OrgasmicSneeze.

Modder's note

Install both OrgasmicSneeze geology mods together and place them after any general landscape texture pack in your left pane. That way the DLC-specific work wins and you do not get mismatched rocks at the DLC borders.

12. Twin Hideouts TTW

Luuciditi rebuilt the Underground Hideout player home for Tale of Two Wastelands 3.4 and paired it with UHNV 4.4 (the New Vegas version of Underground Hideout), with every DLC patch built in. The two homes are linked by teleporter, so you have “a home under each wasteland.” The summary also mentions floating weapon displays and a one-click storage feature. The text is cut off at that point, so read the page for the full feature list.

Why it is worth a look: TTW players travel between the Capital Wasteland and the Mojave constantly. Having one connected home base on each side cuts down on hauling loot across both maps. It is the most specialised mod on this list, which explains the smaller numbers.

Requirements:

Requirement Version named in summary
Tale of Two Wastelands 3.4
Underground Hideout NV (UHNV) 4.4
DLC patches Built in

If you do not run TTW, this mod is not for you. Stick with standard UHNV.

Author: Luuciditi.

Installing this week’s mods with Mod Organizer 2

Mod Organizer 2 is the manager most current New Vegas guides recommend, because it keeps your game folder clean and makes it easy to reorder conflicting assets. Vortex works too. If you are still choosing between the two, our guide to the best mod managers for PC games compares them.

Install steps

  1. Back up your current save and close the game.
  2. Update xNVSE and its plugins to current versions.
  3. Click Mod Manager Download on the Nexus files tab.
  4. Install from MO2’s Downloads tab, picking texture sizes when asked.
  5. Tick the mod in the left pane.
  6. Check the right pane for any new plugin and sort it.
  7. Launch through MO2 and test in a fresh save.

A few New Vegas-specific details that trip people up:

  • ESP-less mods will not appear in the plugin list. Revolvers (ESPLESS), ADS Inertia espless and the B42 Inject version of Classic Booze change the game without a plugin. If you cannot find them in the right pane, that is expected.
  • Asset conflicts are resolved in the left pane. When two mods replace the same mesh or texture, the one lower in MO2’s left pane wins. The lightning bolt icons show you which files overlap.
  • Archive invalidation. New Vegas ignores loose replacement files unless archive invalidation is active. In MO2, turn on Automatic Archive Invalidation in the profile settings for your New Vegas profile. Texture mods like Vault Interior Doors HD Collection and the geology packs depend on it.

Before you install

Do not run Wasteland Forts alongside the original Real-Time-Settler or Wasteland Defense, and do not install Twin Hideouts TTW on a non-TTW setup.

Where these fit next to the long-running classics

Weekly roundups only cover what is new. Most New Vegas load orders are still built around a core of older mods that have been around for many years. Here is how this week’s releases sit next to the staples that ranking lists keep recommending.

Classic mod What it does Relevance to this week
Weapon Mods Expanded (WMX) Adds weapon modifications to many vanilla guns Check WMX coverage before pairing it with Revolvers (ESPLESS)
Weapons of the New Millenia Large pack of new firearms Another weapon pack to balance against the Wattz guns
Project Nevada Modular gameplay overhaul (sprint, bullet time, implants, rebalance) Its aiming and camera features may overlap with ADS Inertia espless
More Perks Adds new perks to the levelling system Unaffected by this week’s releases
Nevada Skies Weather and sky overhaul Lighting changes affect how the PBR door textures look
A World of Pain Adds many new locations and quests Location mods can overlap with new world placements like dart boards
New Vegas Bounties I Bounty-hunting quest line No overlap
Unlimited Companions Removes the companion limit No overlap
The N.V. Interiors Project Opens boarded-up buildings with new interiors Possible placement overlap with mods that add objects to the world
FPGE: Functional Post Game Ending Lets you continue playing after the main story ends Lets you keep using Wasteland Forts bases after the ending
Monster Mod Adds new creature types to the wasteland Can make Wasteland Forts defences more eventful

A word of caution on older lists: advice about stability fixes and memory patches has changed several times over the years. Mods like New Vegas Heap Replacer were once standard and are now handled differently in modern setups. Follow a current, maintained guide such as Viva New Vegas for your foundation, then layer weekly finds on top. Do not copy a five-year-old “top 33” list wholesale.

Troubleshooting this week’s installs

Problem Likely cause Fix
New textures do not show up Archive invalidation is off Enable Automatic Archive Invalidation in your MO2 profile
Revolver models look vanilla Another weapon mesh mod overwrites them Move Revolvers (ESPLESS) lower in MO2’s left pane
Rocks look different at a distance LOD not updated or overwritten Let the geology mods’ LOD win, or regenerate LOD
Wattz guns never appear Leveled list overwritten by a later plugin Check in FNVEdit and build a merged patch
Crash on load after adding a gameplay mod Missing or outdated requirement Update xNVSE and read the mod’s Requirements section
Stutter in Vaults Too many 4K textures Reinstall Vault Interior Doors HD Collection at 2K
Twin Hideouts teleporter does nothing Not running TTW 3.4 or UHNV 4.4 Match the exact versions the author names

Other games this week

The same release window produced busy weeks elsewhere. If you split your time between Bethesda games, our roundup of Skyrim mods this week covers October 19 to 25 as well. We also looked at new Cyberpunk 2077 mods and the Starfield mods October 2026 brought for the same dates.

FAQ

When were these counts measured?

Every endorsement and download figure in this article was pulled from Nexus Mods on October 26, 2026. All of these mods have gained more since, and mods released later in the week had less time to build their numbers.

What does “ESP-less” mean for New Vegas mods?

An ESP-less mod changes the game without adding a plugin file to your load order. Replacers like Revolvers (ESPLESS) just swap meshes and textures. Others, like the B42 Inject version of Classic Booze, use a framework to add content. Either way, they will not show up in your plugin list.

Are these mods compatible with Tale of Two Wastelands?

Three say so directly. Revolvers (ESPLESS) lists TTW support, Vault Interior Doors HD Collection says it is TTW compatible, and Twin Hideouts TTW requires TTW 3.4. The other summaries do not mention TTW, so check their pages before you add them to a TTW setup.

Which mod should I install first?

Start with the Wattz Weapon Pack if you want new content, or Revolvers (ESPLESS) if you want the safest upgrade. Both had strong numbers this week, and the revolver replacer cannot break your load order because it adds no plugin.

Can I add these to an existing save?

The texture and model replacers are safe to add mid-game. Gameplay mods are riskier, especially Wasteland Forts and ADS Inertia espless, because they change systems and run scripts. Back up your save first, and consider a new game for the base-building overhaul.

Do I need New Vegas Reloaded for Vault Interior Doors HD Collection?

No. The author recommends it but does not list it as a requirement. The physically based textures will look better with New Vegas Reloaded’s lighting, but they still work without it.
